Release 6/30/06 MillLister, Inc. announces the release of SmartLister
4.09.8774. This release will output DXF files, feature recognized
and batch import ready, for thirteen different CAM
softwares. ArtCAM module was added. Added new
SmartGrouping module. This module allows for creation,
deletion and modifications of ACAD grouping sets that far
exceeds ACAD's native abilities. Added new SmartBallooning
module. This is easily the world's most powerful ballooning
utility. Added new align code for feature recognition. With
this code SmartLister can now easily handle boat parts, such
as bulkheads, feature recognize them, and output the dxf files
for CNC. Added import module to batch feature recognize solids
imported as ACIS SAT files from Rhinoceros. Added CSV import
engine. With this utility you can load up a CSV file and
SmartLister will go get all the DWG, DXF, or SAT files listed
in it and feature recognize the batch. Added convert from 2D
to 3D module to help new users convert their existing 2D
libraries to 3D solids. Added the ability to read solids and
blocks inside of block entities. Added the ability to view the
cut list data as Metric or Imperial, regardless of the source,
and output as such. Added the ability to round the output text
data to a fraction of any base value. Improved visibility code for speed.
Added Extras-Metric Toolbar. SmartLister and SmartModeling are
now out of beta for ACAD 2007. New SmartMachining module
handles knock-down/cam lock fittings. SmartLister's feature
recognition module has been updated to support these features.
New align code can be set it up to use the endpoints of the longest line, endpoints of the longest arc or the larger of the two.
Added a new feature to offset routes from converted pocketed paths. Added special routine for instant sending of the parts out to Access. Added do not use router bit Tool 1 for operations that do not go through the part.

Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for the SmartLister
Orientation Method
MillLister, Inc. releases SmartLister 3.4.
This build seamlessly converts and feature recognizes 3D solids
and passes them out to AlphaCAM CAD2CAM for instant batch
processing. If you know what you are looking at, your jaw
will hit the floor when you see what we are doing now. With
only 60 seconds of setup you can now export assemblies from
AutoCADŽ and many other 3D modeling programs and have your
assemblies batch processed and turned into G-code and nested,
without parametrics! This system works very well and our customers
are extremely pleased with the results.

2/7/05
MillLister, Inc. releases SmartLister 3.0!!!
SmartLister now had 3 new outputs, in addition to *.CSV and
*.MDB.
The first two will export your 3D solids, lay them flat, point
them in the correct grain direction, make sure their features
are on the top side, add text information for labels, and
then save each as a DWG or DXF file. The files exported by
this utility can be imported into AlphaCAM and immediately
processed with their NEW Automatic Feature Recognition utility.
This utility will sequentially process every solid in your
selection set.
The third export utility will do Feature Recognition! It will
export your 3D solids, lay them flat, point them in the correct
grain direction, make sure their features are on the top side,
convert them into a 2D version 12 DXF file with dynamically
created layers representing machining information, add text
information for labels, and then save each as a 2D version
12 DXF file. This new utility handles borders, vertical drilling
and horizontal drilling. Routing and grooving will be added
shortly. This utility will sequentially process every solid
in your selection set.
We have also added our own module to explode 3D assemblies.
It is simple to use. Exploded views usually take less than
a second to create.
Press Release 1/11/05
The new build of AlphaCAM V5 is shipping this
week. This CAM software can automatically recognize ACAD 3D
solids in dwg and dxf format, then automatically generate
the toolpaths based on a selected machine style. These toolpaths
can then be nested and then the AlphaCAM MultiDrill macro
can be run to produce the drilling patterns. Then you can
generate your G-code. This is the first in the industry and
our new beta export utility will produce the files AlphaCAM
needs for this process. The process of processing your 3D
solids from 3D solids in ACAD to G-code in AlphaCAM is only
a few clicks, but we will be automating AlphaCAM for batch
processing in the near future. The process actually works
very well right now, but with the addition of batch processing
the 3D solids in AlphaCAM the process will be faster. We will
also make the batch import code into AlphaCAM retrieve the
attached part information, data not in the geometry, such
as part number, part name, sub assembly number and so on,
so that the labels are complete without the need of user intervention.
Please note that this code will be modified in the future
to generate 2D DXF files with dynamically created layers for
toolpaths and the line entities on those layers for import
into 2D CAM software's.
We will also be calculating the angles at the ends of the
boards for automated NC chops saws and also asking AlphaCAM
to create post to do the same for the imported parts,
Enhancements and changes:
This version includes a new beta export utility, primarily
for import into AlphaCAM. The files are exported to fixed
folders:
C:\SmartListerExportDXF and
C:\SmartListerExportDWG
depending on the export type you choose.
These options are on the right-click context sensitive menu
and the command line commands are EDWG and EDXF.
There are many bug fixes and the SmartLister Filter will now
use the wildcard "LIKE" option. This uses Sequel, so the wildcard
character is "%" not "*".
Turning on Automatic updating of objects ORIE data no longer
runs double-time when executing SSS, but this only works for
ACAD 2004 and 2005.
AutoCAD version 2004 - 2005 users only need to make sure that
Auto Updating ORIE data is turned on in the settings SSET
window and it should take care of itself. 2004 and 2005 users
should really appreciate this after working with SmartLister
for a short time. This has been something we have been trying
to get to work for a while and we are very pleased with the
results.
Press Release 12/02/04
MillLister, Inc. announces the release of SmartLister
2.8. This release fixes many bugs found over the last few
months that were previously undetected.
Very soon we will have an output that can be
automatically sent to your point to point machines and routers.
This will include nesting and horizontal boring. This output
must be loaded into another, to be mentioned, CAM software
in order to complete the process.
Press Release 6/23/04

of layers. AO, turns all objects on, VO, turns off all objects
in the drawing, but the selected objects, and HO, which hides
the selected objects. It also includes the free and updated
Extras toolbar, by MillLister Inc. This toolbar has the ability
to get the data in the new PN column and automatically populate
the balloon with this data. It also has the new dimadj.lsp
which can adjust multiple dimension nodes, so that they are
all in a straight line.
